Camp Kent is Amesbury’s very own 17-acre nature center located next to Battis Farm. Already in its 21st year, Camp Kent’s nature based summer programs are one of our most popular programs. Camp Kent offers a wide variety of activities designed to help participants explore their environment and challenge themselves in the natural world.
At Camp Kent, no two weeks are exactly the same!

Wilderness Survival Week

Join the Camp Kent crew for a week of learning wilderness survival skills and activities including: outdoor safety, building a fire without matches, shelter building, hide & seek, map reading and a scavenger hunt! Wilderness Survival Week will consist of lessons, practice sessions for survival in the close-to-home wilderness as well as cooking food on the campfire. Test your skills beginning Thursday & Friday, when we’ll build shelter and a campfire, and use all the skills we’ve practiced throughout the week! Each participant receives a free survival kit!
