Spring After School Programs- Registration Begins March 11thGrades 6-8American Sign Language with Athletes GlobalMondays: March 31-May 12 (No program April 21)Amesbury Middle School Room 104Our American Sign Language class teaches students the basics of ASL and more. Participants will learn the alphabets, numbers and communication skills -receptive (listening) and expressive (speaking), with vocabulary and grammar. Our American Sign Language class will implement daily practice using vocabulary in conversation, while introducing the American Deaf culture and history to our students.Cost: $155.00 per childCheer and Hip Hop Dance Class with Athletes GlobalWednesdays: April 2-May 14 (No program April 23)Amesbury Middle School GymOur Cheer and Hip Hop program focuses on fun cheers and modern hip hop movements with a vivacious urban feel. Our hip hop portion of the class will focus on rhythm and musicality, how to "find", count music and dance in with a team. Different styles of hip-hop dance will be combined with fun choreography. Our cheer portion of the class will teach various dance and cheer combinations, basic stunts, and fun choreography. Along with these skills, participants will receive daily take home activities that build teamwork, confidence and leadership skills. On the last day we will provide a performance to showcase what our participants have learned!Cost: $135.00 per childLeadership and Mentor Program with Athletes GlobalThursdays: April 3-May 22 (No program April 10 or 24)Amesbury Middle School Room 102Our leadership development and mentoring program is committed to developing future leaders. We teach growth mindset practices, character building, leadership, life and entrepreneurship skills through fun activities. We provide open discussions that will help students grow and think more creatively, critically and confidently in a safe environment. Cost: $135.00 per child
