4:00 PM - 6:00 PM    Camp Kent After School Program - Camp Kent Winter Edition (Thursdays: Grades 1-4)
Registration Begins January 2nd at 10am Come unwind after a long day at school and explore your local snowy terrain. Have fun looking into the science of winter ecology, and find out what magic happens when the weather changes. Together, we will stop to notice what kinds of birds and mammals we are still seeing around, and who has left for the season. Our overwintering animals have a lot to teach us about survival, and Camp Kent has an array of burrows, nests and tree houses to check out! Let’s dive into what it means to hibernate or adapt to harsh weather conditions. Please join us for another season of winter birding, animal tracking, snow fort creating, and fire starting basics (weather depending). As always, we will enjoy our favorite Camp Kent activities while getting to explore Battis Farms and the Powow conservation trails.Grades 1-4 Thursdays, January 23rd- March 6th (no program Feb. 20th) from 4:00pm-6:00pm*We will be outside in harsh weather conditions, so please come prepared for Rain, Snow, Cold, and Ice. Below is a list of suggested gear to have on hand in a backpack and ready to go each session.
