9:00 AM - 12:00 PM    Camp Kent Family Events - Earth Day Celebration
*Parking at Battis Farm (76 South Hampton RD, Amesbury, MA)  Join Amesbury Recreation for an Earth Day cleanup at one of our favorite places, Camp Kent Nature Center. We will work in small groups to tidy up the pines, the trails, the butterfly garden and our other most commonly used spaces. This year, Camp Kent is excited to announce a garden partnership with our friends from The Regenerative School. The goal is to grow food for Our Neighbors Table, while offering educational opportunities and volunteer experiences for community members interested in sustainable gardening. With the addition to the garden, there are lots of projects that we will need help with, both large and small. Come and help turn the soil, spread compost, revamp the garden’s scarecrow, or build your own corn husk doll! We will provide snacks and light refreshments, but please feel free to bring picnic lunch to enjoy with your friends and family. There will be time to enjoy a lunch break, and as always, free time to explore camp. We look forward to you and your friends or family helping us welcome spring and prepare for another great season at camp!

3:30 PM - 5:30 PM    Camp Kent After School Program - Camp Kent Spring Edition (Tuesdays) Grades 1-3
Join Amesbury Recreation for another exciting session of after school fun! We will continue to explore the Camp Kent grounds and the Powow River Conservation Area. There are lots of migrant bird species that have arrived, as well as many other refreshing signs of spring that we can’t wait to share with you! As we gear up for summer camp and more time spent outside, we will be learning about all of the animals and plants in this area. We are surrounded by wetlands that are home to a wide range of biodiversity. During our five weeks, we will become familiar with all kinds of amphibians, birds, mammals, and plant life. Let’s work together to rebuild our forts and shelters, while creating sculptures and fairy houses. As always, we will play our favorite games, while exploring using all of our senses. Please join us in welcoming the new season and longer days ahead! *Parents are required to provide transportation to and from the program.Pick up and drop off at Battis Farm (76 S Hampton Rd)
